This week’s guest on the Australia Asks video podcast is Dr Brian Walker, a Member of the Legislative Council of Western Australia for the Legalise Cannabis Party. Dr Walker is a Western Australian politician and general practitioner with over 45 years of clinical experience. Serving as the Parliamentary Leader of the Legalise Cannabis WA Party for the East Metropolitan Region, he has used his medical background to champion sensible drug law reform, patient access to medicinal cannabis, and greater governmental transparency.
Before entering parliament, he practiced medicine across four continents and speaks four languages fluently. Today, he brings that global clinical perspective to the legislative arena, where he pushes for evidence-based reform on issues ranging from healthcare and mental health to housing affordability and civil liberties.
