It Snows

It snows and it snows
My clothes are all froze
And so’s my nose
And so’s my toes

Why do you s’pose
It’s cold when it snows
Here’s how it goes
‘Cause a freezing wind blows

The wind blows the snows
And it gets up your nose
And freezes your toes
And freezes your clothes

Then your clothes and your toes
And your nose are all froze
So you goes down to Mo’s
To get a pill for your nose

When you goes down to Mo’s
He fixes your nose
With the pill that he chose
That was tied up in bows

The pill that he chose
Fixes your nose
Fixes your woes
But your toes are still froze

So you goes down to Jo’s
For the socks on your toes
‘Cause there’s holes in the toes
Of your socks, don’t you knows

Then she sews and she sews
The holes in the toes
Of the socks that you shows
When you goes down to Jo’s

So you’ve fixed up your nose
And fixed up your toes
But your clothes are still froze
And you feel in a doze

So you goes down to Beau’s
And he shows you more clothes
That are warmer than those
That you wore down to Beau’s

So you’ve got warmer clothes
You’ve fixed up your nose
You’ve warmed up your toes
And cured all your woes

Then you’re fresh as a rose
That arose through the snows
And grows in long rows
‘Cause you’re wearing warm clothes

And you’ve got a clear nose
And warmed up your toes
And you’re ready to pose
‘Cause you’re over your lows

So you pose and you pose
As you walk through the snows
And the path that you chose
Takes you home right past Beau’s

And you walk right past Jo’s
And you walk right past Mo’s
They all fixed up your clothes
And your toes and your nose

Now the question we pose
In this short piece of prose
Is one that arose
As we walked through the snows

If the snows froze your toes
And your nose and your clothes
Where does you goes
To fix all of those?

    1. I was stuck in -20 degrees and 18 inches of snow, with a friend and a bottle of Scotch 🙂

    1. Lynne, tell me what you want on your dedication, and it shall be so. It’s your poem now, after all 🙂
