1998 Australians For Reconciliation – formed and chaired a group in Goulburn, NSW. Wrote articles in local paper about groups activities. Also represented Goulburn Council at Canberra Reconciliation Council meetings.
1998 Australian Red Cross – Coordinator of Red Cross Calling in Goulburn, NSW.
2000 Woorabinda Aboriginal Community, QLD – Received approval from state government to enrol approved minor offenders into multi-RTO Literacy and Numeracy program, as an alternative to Community Service Orders and short prison terms. Enrolment increased from mainstream of 8 students (non-offenders in original program) to 83 students. Funding increased from $320,000 to $2.4 million (funding for 60 students received).
2003 Nine city tour of China, over nine weeks, lecturing at 15 universities on Aboriginal education and communities to Chinese students.
2006 Received $10,000 funding from Sarina Russo, owner of Russo Education, for six month project helping to train and house homeless people.
2006 Received offer from Vodafone Australia of $75,000 to continue training and housing project for the homeless for 12 months, as well as to write magazine articles on this subject. Unable to complete project because of injury.
2006 Invited by Senator Andrew Bartlett to work at a federal government level addressing issues of homelessness in Queensland.
2007 Worked in Honolulu, USA to address issues of homelessness for six months.
2011 Wrote and directed a play in China for teenage speakers of English as a second language. The play was one of twelve finalists in a national competition, from 2500 schools and 1.5 million students involved.
2013 Created political videos for election campaign.
2013 Participated in Queensland Labor Policy Network (including Higher Education) – Governance, Defence and Foreign Policy Committee; Social Policy Committee. Created videos and social media for election campaign (Social Media OrganisingTeam).
2014 Joined Salford College English Language Advisory Panel.
2015 Led work team to design curriculum specific to African refugees/asylum seekers, many of whom have not had schooling in their country of origin, and have not learnt to read or write in their own language. Additionally, no translation tools are readily available.
2016 Led work teams to conduct compliance and validation tasks for various RTOs.
2017 Led work team to design curriculum and assessment tasks for all units in Certificates I, II, III and IV of Spoken and Written English.
2018 Led team to introduce Moodle learning management system to a registered training organisation (RTO) of over 500 students.
2019 Elected National Vice President of Australian Democrats after re-registration 2019 Took over as Editor of Australian Democrats National Journal
2021 Appointed National Treasurer of the Australian Democrats.
2021 Appointed Media Officer of the Australian Democrats. Organised media releases, interviews, writing of a jingle and production of campaign videos.
2022 Social Media Influencer. Appeared on national TV, print media (200 newspapers) and social media campaigning for social justice.
2022 Traveled to Iran as part of a project to set up a campus of Queensland TAFE in Tehran.
