This was from 2010 in Little Tibet, Chengdu, China. I was working in China as a journalist and corporate trainer at the time.

The man pictured with me is a Tulku Lama, the third highest level of Lama after the Dalai and Panchen Lamas, and can reportedly choose their own reincarnation. However, reincarnation is banned in China.
