The Burj Dubai’s completion is expected to occur somewhere in late 2008, though the exact details are shrouded in secrecy. When fully completed it will earn the name of being the “tallest man made structure”..as well as the “tallest free standing structure on earth”
The construction of this tower takes place throught the whole day in shifts, at an astonishing pace..with engineers working hard to meet the given deadline. The entire Burj Dubai project is worth a whopping $4 billion US dollars.

Exterior
The exterior of the tower has a lot of influence from Islamic Architecture. When completed, the whole tower from the outside would take the shape of a pointed structure rising high, with peelings narrowing the size of the structure till it reaches a pointed spire.
Editor’s Note April 6th 2012: This article was written in 2007; the Burj Dubai opened on January 4th 2010, and is now known as the Burj Khalifa. It is 829.84 m high, making it the tallest building in the world.
